【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverslow-carbonprecipitation-strengthenednickel-copper-chromium-molybdenum-columbiumalloysteelplatesforgeneralapplications.Thealloysinthisspecificationarestrengthenedbyprecipitationinvarioustemperatureranges.Precipitationstrengtheningcanoccuruponaircoolingafterhotrolling,duringnormalizing,andbyanotherheattreatment.Thesegradesarenotintendedforuseinapplicationsabove900176;F[540176;C].1.2Twogrades,eachwiththreeclasses,areprovidedasfollows:1.3GradeAprovidesminimumyieldstrengthlevelsrangingfrom50to85ksi[345to585MPa],dependingonthicknessandcondition.1.4GradeA,Class1,platesarelimitedtoamaximumthicknessof3/4in.[20mm].ThemaximumthicknessofGradeA,Classes2and3,islimitedonlybythecapacityofthecompositiontomeetthespecifiedmechanicalpropertyrequirements;however,currentpracticenormallylimitsthemaximumthicknessto8in.[200mm].1.5MandatorynotchtoughnessrequirementsarespecifiedforGradeA,Class1.1.6GradeBprovidesminimumyieldstrengthlevelsrangingfrom70to75ksi[480to515MPa],dependingonthicknessandcondition.1.7GradeBplatesarelimitedtoamaximumthicknessof2in.[50mm].1.8MandatorynotchtoughnessrequirementsarespecifiedforthethreeclassesofGradeB.1.9Whenthesteelistobewelded,itispresupposedthataweldingproceduresuitableforthegradeofsteelandintendeduseorservicewillbeutilized.SeeAppendixX3ofSpecificationA6/A6Mforinformationonweldability.1.10Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
