【摘要】:TheU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgencyRegulations,40CFR266,requirethatboilers,cementkilns,andotherindustrialfurnacesutilizingwaste-derivedfueladheretospecificguidelinesinassessingpotentialmetalsemissions.Acommonapproachforestimatingpotentialemissionsisperformingtotalmetalsanalysisonallfeedstreammaterials.Thispracticedescribesamulti-stagemicrowave-assisteddigestionprocedurethatsolubilizestraceelementsforspectroscopicanalyses.1.1Thispracticedescribesthemulti-stagemicrowavedigestionoftypicalindustrialfurnacefeedstreammaterialsusingnitric,hydrofluoric,hydrochloric,andboricacidsforthesubsequentdeterminationoftracemetals.1.2Thispracticehasbeenusedsuccessfullyonsamplesofcoal,coke,cementrawfeedmaterials,andwaste-derivedfuelscomposedprimarilyofwastepaint-relatedmaterialinpreparationformeasuringthefollowingtraceelements:Ag,As,Ba,Be,Cd,Cr,Hg,Pb,Sb,andTl.Thispracticemaybeapplicabletoelementsnotpreviouslylisted.1.3Thispracticeisalsoeffectiveforotherwastematerials(forexample,flyash,foundrysand,alumprocessresidue,cementkilndust,etc.).1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSection7.
