【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesrapidandprecisemeasurementoftotalsulfurinpetroleumandpetroleumproductswithaminimumofsamplepreparation.Atypicalanalysistimeis1to2minutespersample.Thequalityofmanypetroleumproductsisrelatedtotheamountofsulfurpresent.Knowledgeofsulfurconcentrationisnecessaryforprocessingpurposes.Therearealsoregulationspromulgatedinfederal,state,andlocalagenciesthatrestricttheamountofsulfurpresentinsomefuels.Thistestmethodprovidesameansofdeterminingwhetherthesulfurcontentofpetroleumorapetroleumproductmeetsspecificationorregulatorylimits.Whenthistestmethodisappliedtopetroleummaterialswithmatricessignificantlydifferentfromthewhiteoilcalibrationmaterialsspecifiedinthistestmethod,thecautionsandrecommendationsinSection5shouldbeobservedwheninterpretingresults.Note28212;TheequipmentspecifiedforTestMethodD2622tendstobemoreexpensivethanthatrequiredforalternativetestmethods,suchasTestMethodD4294.ConsulttheIndextoASTMStandardsforalternativetestmethods.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalsulfurinpetroleumandpetroleumproductsthataresingle-phaseandeitherliquidatambientconditions,liquefiablewithmoderateheat,orsolubleinhydrocarbonsolvents.Thesematerialscanincludedieselfuel,jetfuel,kerosene,otherdistillateoil,naphtha,residualoil,lubricatingbaseoil,hydraulicoil,crudeoil,unleadedgasoline,gasoholandbiodiesel.1.2TherangeofthistestmethodisbetweenthePLOQvalue(calculatedbyproceduresconsistentwithPracticeD6259)of3mg/kgtotalsulfurandthehighestlevelsampleintheroundrobin,4.6wt.%totalsulfur.Note18212;Instrumentationcoveredbythistestmethodcanvaryinsensitivity.Theapplicabilityofthetestmethodatsulfurconcentrationsbelow3mg/kgmaybedeterminedonanindividualbasisforWDXRFinstrumentscapableofmeasuringlowerlevels,butprecisioninthistestmethoddoesnotapply.1.2.1Thevaluesofthelimitofquantitation(LOQ)andmethodprecisionforaspecificlaboratoryx2019;sinstrumentdependsoninstrumentsourcepower(loworhighpower),sampletype,andthepracticesestablishedbythelaboratorytoperformthemethod.1.3Samplescontainingmorethan4.6mass%sulfurshouldbedilutedtobringthesulfurconcentrationofthedilutedmaterialwithinthescopeofthistestmethod.SamplesthataredilutedcanhavehighererrorsthanindicatedinSection14thannon-dilutedsamples.1.4Volatilesamples(suchashighvaporpressuregasolinesorlighthydrocarbons)maynotmeetthestatedprecisionbecauseofselectivelossoflightmaterialsduringtheanalysis.1.5Afundamentalassumptioninthistestmethodisthatthestandardandsamplematricesarewellmatched,orthatthematrixdifferencesareaccountedfor(see12.2).MatrixmismatchcanbecausedbyC/Hratiodifferencesbetweensamplesandstandardsorbythepresenceofotherinterferingheteroatomsorspecies(seeTable1).1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesa......
