【摘要】:Theoilcontentofawaxmayhavesignificanteffectsonseveralofitsproperties,suchasstrength,hardness,flexibility,scuffresistance,coefficientoffriction,coefficientofexpansion,meltingpoint,andoilstraining.Theimportanceoftheseeffectsmaybedependentupontheultimateuseofthewax.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofoilinpetroleumwaxeshavingacongealingpointof30176;C(86176;F)orhigherasdeterminedinaccordancewithTestMethodD938,andcontainingnotmorethan15%ofoil.Note1Withsometypesofwaxes,ofoilcontentsgreaterthan5%,theremaybeanincompatibilitywithMEKresultingintheformationoftwoliquidphases.Ifthisoccurs,thetestmethodisnotapplicabletothematerialundertest.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
